Parker Baseball proved they are a new team this year, securing a 5-2 victory over Janesville Craig to split the season series! After a tough start to the week, the Vikings put it all together at Riverside Park to show they won't be pushed around.

Game Highlights & Scoring:

Striking First: The Vikings wasted no time in the first inning. Bode Reed drew a walk and was immediately driven home by a clutch RBI double from Eli Demrow.

The Big Third Inning: Parker blew the game open by putting the ball in play and forcing the defense into mistakes. Brody Knuth ignited the rally with a sharp single to right, while Sam Hoium and Gentry Madsen applied pressure on the basepaths to help plate three huge runs.

The Great Escape: After four innings, Parker held a commanding 4-0 lead. The defensive play of the game came in the fourth when Sam Hoium entered a bases-loaded, no-out jam and escaped without surrendering a single run by forcing three consecutive flyouts.

Dominance on the Mound: Colton Smalley provided a stellar start, tossing three scoreless innings. Sam Hoium then took over to finish the final four innings, maintaining his velocity and showcasing a sharp curveball to shut the door.

Way to go boys! Let's keep that momentum moving forward.

Janesville Parker braved the elements at Whitewater High School, turning a rain-soaked evening into a dominant 2-0 shutout victory over the Whippets! Despite the slippery conditions, the Vikings played with confidence and purpose from the first ...whistle.

Key Plays & Scoring:

The Breakthrough: Senior Haley Zimmerman set the tone early, finding the back of the net to give Parker the initial lead.

The Insurance Goal: Parker executed a perfect set piece when Kenna Minich delivered a precision corner kick, allowing Anyely Varela to finish it off and cushion the lead.

The Wall: Teana Anderson was unstoppable in goal, handling the wet ball with ease and recording a clean sheet with 9 saves to keep Whitewater scoreless.

It was a total team effort to stay composed as the weather turned.

The Lady Vikings take on Fort Atkinson at home on Saturday, April 11th with JV starting at 10 AM and Varsity following at 11:30 AM. Come cheer them on as they carry this momentum forward!

🎾 Parker Tennis with the Win 🎾

Hard work pays off! The Parker Boys Tennis Team secured a 4-3 victory over Madison La Follette.

The Vikings stayed composed through the pressure, winning four crucial tiebreakers to clinch the team win.

Match Highlights:
Romeo ...Kvistad showed resilience, bouncing back to win 2-6, 7-5, 10-4.
Tyler Furrer fought through every game with pure grit and patience, 7-6, 6-4
Zac Brown played one of his most consistent matches yet, staying rattled-free from start to finish. 7-5, 4-6, 10-7
Tyler Moen & Nick Bowers came up huge in doubles, showing team chemistry to help secure the team win. 0-6, 6-1, 10-5

🏆 STATE CHAMPION ALERT! 🏆

Huge congratulations to Sam Champion for taking 1st PLACE at the SkillsUSA State Conference this week! 🥇

Competing in the Woodworking Display category, Sam outperformed every other student in the state to bring home the gold. His winning project?... A stunning optical illusion cutting board crafted from cherry, maple, and walnut.

This victory is even more special because it marks Parker High School’s first return to SkillsUSA since the early 2000s. To walk away with a state title in our first year back—and in Sam's first time ever competing—is an incredible achievement.

We are so proud of the hard work, precision, and artistry that went into this project. Way to represent Parker HS, Sam!
